Laboratory tests examine and determine the composition of body fluids as well as the presence and quantity of various biological-chemical substances occurring in them. They provide a picture of the current condition of the liver, the bile, the pancreas, the endocrine glands, the digestive system and the kidney. On the basis of the results such changed vital functions can be diagnosed which are indicated in advance by the ions, enzymes and hormones in the organism. In many cases they show the problem still before the physically perceptible changes and so the development of a more serious disease can be prevented.

During the drawing of blood the sample is taken to the laboratory where specialists examine, measure and determine its composition by various procedures and instruments, using numerous chemical substances.

The analysis of the urine helps in the diagnosis of infections, inflammations, kidney problems and other diseases.

During urine analysis the specific gravity, pH value and protein content of the urine are checked. Protein can suggest various inflammations, urethral and kidney diseases and, in the case of men, inflammations affecting the genitalia.

The determination of the quantity of sugar in the urine is very important. If the urine contains acetone it can indicate diabetes. The value of bilirubin indicates the condition of the liver. Furthermore, we also examine the number of red blood cells and while blood cells.  Bacteria, crystals and fungi can also be detected in the urine by a microscope. If bacteria are found during cultivation it suggests urethral infection.

Stool test is a laboratory test during which certain diseases of the intestinal tract as well as viruses, bacteria and parasites can be filtered out.

From 15th of November 2017 our laboratory carries out tests prescribed by a physician only. Showing a document (laboratory request form, recommendation recorded in a medical finding etc.) signed by a physician is required in any case. In lack of this we recommend to discuss the necessary tests with one of our specialist (for a specialist consultation fee).

This ensures that the tests are justified and aim at examining parameters serving for the curing, monitoring or prevention of the given disease and superfluous samplings can be avoided.
